Doing what you need.. and needing what you do

I had a stressful day all because I work with a co-worker who sells Avon and you guessed it, I don't work for or at Avon. Her constant disappearances to deliver ,and me answering the phone and talking with people who only want her is really getting on my nerves, and it is making my job harder. My company has a no solicitation clause and she knows it. She will also be terminated if she is caught. I don't want her to get fired and I don't want to turn her in but I do want her to stop. If I ask i will look like the bad girl and have to face her wraith.
So I went home with a huge headache again. I wish I could just ignore the situation or let it go but for some reason I can't . So I was going to go the gym after work but you know how that can be now. Fighting the snow for a parking spot. Walking through slushy water to get there. Then there is loud music bright fake lights, fighting for a machine etc. So on the way home I said no this is not for me at all.
When I walked through the door my dog was wagging her tail at me . She wanted a walk. I thought maybe . She insisted and had the better poker hand and off we went. Well it was just what I needed . The sun was shining , the temperature was on the warm side ,upper 30s with a light, fresh air,... yeah... breeze. We walked and walked sadly we were the only ones out enjoying it. When I got home finally stress free and slightly tired I looked at the clock and a whole hour had gone by. yippee for me and her too.
So when it comes to exercise you need to think ...WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TODAY . Do you need cardio and feel the need to run like the wind. Do you need to get rid of your stress and take a kick boxing class. Do you need to shorten your workout because you will have more stress trying to fit everything in. Be open and honest with yourself and ready for changes.
Today is strength training day for me , so I started strengthening my legs and relaxing my mind and soul on my long walk. Later after supper has digested I will do some work with weights to strengthen my arms. I had a healthy breakfast and lunch, so for supper I need to start with lots of veggies then add some grain and some protein . I need to get to bed early tonight because of the extra stress I need some extra sleep .
It was imperative to my health and well being that I do what I need . Because my body needed exercise , healthy food and a lot of sleep.
