Lame week!

It's been a rough week.

It started awesome. I had a great 9-mile run on Sunday. It was awesome.

Monday, my son had his tonsils and adenoids removed, so that was a long day of worrying while we watching him closely the first hours after the procedure.

Monday evening, I did something weird to my foot and it's been hurting along the outside edge ever since.

Wicked PMS, plus stress and general worry about the son ... and I ate everything in the world. I haven't worked out since Monday because I'm moping over the foot sitch.

So, I weighed in today and am back up to 159. Totally lame. Over the past two months, I gained back all the weight I've worked so hard to lose. Sucks!

I'm trying to use this as a springboard to re-devote myself to a good plan ... but truly I just want to lay on the couch and cry for a while.

    Go ahead & have your cry . . . then get up off your couch! You can only fail if you give up.

    Okay.... take "5" to cry and moan and even eat... just to prove to yourself that the only outcome will be to feel crappier- not better!
    Injuries suck!!! I hate them... and its soooo easy to allow yourself to let them get you down. It's even more important now--- to be proactive. Get a bike! Get in the pool! Do some ST! Do some Pilates and core and anything else that doesn't use your foot- if the problem persists, go see a Dr and get an X-ray just to make sure.
    Really anything pro-active will do!

    I'm glad your son is okay- any procedure our kids go through makes us Moms stressed- that's just part of the deal. I think now, that he's on his way to recovery... it's time to take care of you! Make yourself # 1 priority so you can keep up with your kids, your house & your workouts!

    We all have days & weeks like that so don't be too hard on yourself. The good news is today is a NEW day and the perfect time to get back on the program! I gained 10 pesky lbs over the holidays and then kept losing & gaining back the same 4 lbs. Finally, I made it over the hump and on my way back down (yep, I've been disgusted, mad and sad all at the same time) . You can do this!!! Stick with it!!!
