Not a cool surprise

So this morning I finally got back on the ball with testing my blood sugar again. I had misplaced my tester for awhile and then had a tough time remembering. But I did this morning-fasting glucose before having anything besides water. 120. Not a great number. Not horribly high, but higher than it should be. Now I'm going to have to watch that carefully every day to make sure it goes back down.

In the meantime, I've enabled the meal plans for the diabetic program here on Spark. I love that having the meal plan is optional! When I first started here you either used the meal plan or you didn't. If you did, then ate something different, you had to delete the foods off the tracker manually. Now you just see it and if you eat it you check it. I love this update. I am hoping this will give me some more variety in my ideas for dinner at least. And breakfast.

    I like the fact that we can choose other foods to replace the ones we don't particularly care for. Tracking is so important! emoticon

    Glad you're back to checking. My fasting numbers are down from around 200 to 140s this week. I'm not happy with that yet, but I'm working on it too!

    Glad to share it, MNABOY! I had avoided turning on the meal plans for the dread of having to delete everything again, but this was a great surprise. I guess I need to change my blog entry title!

  I'll be anxious to see how it goes. I've never really used it. Every once in awhile I turn it on.
