What a week. It can only get better, right?!

We had a pretty quiet Valentine's Day. I can't remember the last time my husband and I went out for Valentine's Day. We are so busy making sure our kids have all the crap they need for school valentines...and candy...and snacks for parties...yeah, there's no money left in the budget for us to go out and do anything! He surprised me with a card last night though.

It's been a pretty decent week for food and exercise, and I'm ready to lose a pound by next week. ;) I'm doing really good with my running! Meaning, I'm sticking with it, even when it's early and cold and I don't wanna. Yesterday I totally DRAGGED myself out of bed to run at 5am, and I did another 3 miles. Tomorrow I'll have time to run more, and I want to go for more! I have a loop to the HS and back that is 3 miles, but if I go a little further to the community college and back, I'll have 5. Tomorrow, I'm gonna go for it. I've been wearing my ankle brace when I go running, and that has made a HUGE difference in knocking out foot pain. Yesterday I took the brace off after my run was over, and I had some pain last night and this I'm going to wear it for the full day after I'm done running.

We are selling GS cookies right now and I'm doing a GREAT JOB on my goal of eating ZERO cookies!!! I have floodgates at my house, and I'm not opening them. There is no such thing as "just one", so I'm paying attention to what I know about myself, and not gonna go down that road. One strategy that is working really well is to keep them in the back of my van. I have not brought any into the house, and since they're not around to look at, I don't even think about them. It also helps that they are $4/box and I can't afford them. ;) My daughter could be doing a better job selling them! I've been lugging a bag around for the past 2 days, to school and band, selling them, but she's only gone out one time to sell. I need to find more sorority houses to sell to! We stopped by Illinois Wesleyan the other night before church, because one of my friends has twin daughters who go there, and one of the twins texted me and asked me to bring some GS cookies by. So I got there with all those cookies in the back of the van, and all these sorority sisters came pouring out of the house and lined up with their cash to buy cookies! I felt like a drug dealer, selling cookies out of the back of my van!!! Hilarious!!!

I guess that's about all for now. It's going to be a busy weekend as I chaperone a band trip, and we have Caity Thoennes' wake and funeral (still reeling from this; incidentally, I sent them a handwritten card), I have a TON of homework. I'm taking Number Theory for K-8 Teachers right now, and it's KILLING me. My other classes are all much easier, but this one class is just really tough. *sigh* By this time next year, I will be student-teaching and applying to graduate. Eye on the prize. Spark On.
