This past Wednesday, I woke up at 2 am. Mind whirling kind of a thing.
Well, needless to day, I was a bit groggy, in the morning, with a full day ahead.
So off to work I went. Luckily, for me, I was headed downtown, to do a few quality control checks, renew a badge and just check out that territory in general.
If any of you know downtown Richmond, you are well aware of its history and hills!
The clouds sent a light drizzle, but nothing threatening.
Here are a few photos of my walk.
Check out these steps and they were only a few of the ones I went up!
They are outside of the State Capital.
There are many beautiful walkways, nearby.
Here is the Governor's mansion
A statue of George Washington is in the circle.
General Stonewall Jackson
The old city hall is beautiful, both inside and out. Evidence of progress, is ever present as a new building is being buil
t, across the street.
OK, now time to go back, with one last look at Capital hill.
Whew! That was great! I then went to Mama's and rode her stationary bike for 30 minutes.
Sorry, Irene, I tried not to fall off again! lol
I felt like a champ!
When I got home, I felt so relaxed, that I just lit a fire in the fireplace and sat there with some tea.
Made a good supper of fire roasted vegetables!
Watched Survivor being grateful, that I , myself had survived, the day!
Bed felt great and I slept like a rock.
