Broke Through a Plateau

Voted Popular Blog Post: View All Popular Posts

Friday, February 15, 2013

I have been trying to break through a plateau for months, yes months! It's been so hard but it finally paid off this morning according to the scale. Even though I have been exercising more I have been less hungry so I have been eating less. That coupled with eating even more than 5 fruit and veggies a day has finally made a difference.

So this morning I'm off for a 5 mile jog (can't believe I'm even saying that). I can remember when I was still working up to jogging 1 mile. Now look at me!!!

On a plateau of my own but thrilled to have lost 18.5 pounds. Can't wait for summer fruits and veggies to be back in season. That and summer clothes really help me slim down.

So glad you are over your plateau. Isn't that a pain in the backside?

Yes, I am working on running a mile now. Key word, working on it. It isn't doing very well. lol

Good for you! Plateaus are sometimes so frustrating. I recently read a quote about plateaus and I have shared it with a friend who is working on her weight loss by another method other than Spark.

It reads.."When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world."

A positive way of thinking about our plateaus in life. Congratulations! You are an inspiration!
