Hello Fellow Sparkers!

I hope everyone is well! The media's reporting that the flu season has eased up a bit, but I gotta tell ya, I'm hearing a lot of people say that there are a lot of sick folks out there! And those that get this nasty flu have been very, very ill! Please take special care, my friends! I'm not wanting any of ya's out there to be sick! Stay healthy!

Now, I'm not complaining or anything, but I just find it a little "odd" that last week, I lost 1.8 lbs...& this week, well, I "found" 1.8 lbs! Coincidence?

I think NOT! emoticon

I mean, come on now! So, let's recap, shall we? Thus far, for the new year...

1/2/13 - +4.4 lbs
1/10 - -2.4
1/17 - -1.2
1/31 - +4.0
2/7 - -1.8
2/14 - +1.8

(Just so ya know, I had NO Valentine's Day candy or goodies! None! Nadda!)

Total loss with WW's is 24.4 lbs! Ok. Ok. So, I'm HAPPY I'm down 24.4 lbs, but I've got some work to do! Some serious work!

I've been exercising everyday, but this week, I've not had the chance to squeeze in much walking in the evening, so I'm doing to step up to the plate there & make more of an effort to get out. I can do that! And honestly, I've not been tracking at all. I know I keep saying I'm gonna, but, well...I just plain don't do it! So, I'm gonna do it! So, goals for the week are...

-walk at least 5 evenings this week
-TRACK! TRACK! TRACK!

Okay, I CAN do it, by golly! I hope you're all well out there fellow Sparkers! Stay healthy & keep warm! You're all my JOY!

I have to admit I am much more relaxed tracking food first, that keeps my diabetic needs met.Tracking exercise, that is much more difficult because a lot of what I am doing is physical labor and hard to track so I just let it go unless it is snow-blowing etc in at least 30 minutes increments but mostly well over that with our big driveway.
Size wise I just let looking in the mirror and making sure none of my clothes feel tight. I know this way helps lower my stress levels since they make CORTISOL and that causes weight gain. Keep smiling stay happy and joyful, just the way you always are.

I think tracking is the single most important thing we can do to lose weight. Just to record makes us eat less, even with calorie counting.

When you track, it is pure joy to fit in something extra and know you're still on plan.
Sounds like you have a plan, go for it!

Don't forget about the fluctuations we all have due to the volume of water we hold (out of necessity) in our bodies. I am happy to hear it's not stressing you, and in fact motivates you!! Keep on sparking on!!

I'm with you, Rose. Tracking really makes the difference. Do you use a GPS when you travel? Do you have one that shows the whole route and then pinpoints where you're at as you journey along? That's what tracking is for us. It's our GPS. We can do this. I have a challenge for you...to help you with your evening walks. I challenge you to post a sunset picture (from beautiful, sunny, Florida) every day that you walk...okay...the sun might not be setting then...but whatever you consistently see on the horizon... Maybe that will motivate you and help you to be inspired to go for that walk...so you can post your daily pic. What do you think? Have a great day! Keep up the good work! Spark on! emoticon emoticon
