Don't let your weekend become your "weak end".

I have a a real good week and now comes the weekend. I use to go off my food and exercise plan on the weekends but now I stay on track and treat them just like the rest of the week. Weekends can not be an excuse to binge or treat myself to something that I don't ordinarily eat and gain weight. I won't let my weekend become my "weak end" of my plan. It will be my "tight end" where I will keep all my good foods "tight" and close to me so I will not be tempted to make the wrong choices. Exercising will be a part of the day just like any day. I have come to far to fall back into old habits now. emoticon

You make good sense! I really needed to hear that today as I am struggling to stay on task. So far I have managed to keep within my goals for calories but I don't feel like getting my walk in. Thanks for the straight talk. I will push myself to get emoticon up and go!

For me - weekends are for eating what I normally can't. However - it's not because it is not as healthy - it is more of a time factor. We eat healthy during the week - but it has to be a quicker recipe. During the weekend - I have more free time to make things a bit more involved and delicious.

If you like to cook - try finding ways to treat yourself that are "splurging" but in a healthy way. I have, and I love it. Makes me look forward to waking up on the weekends!

Congratulations on all you have accomplished so far!

So true. I hate the weekends....
I need the routine of the week to keep the exercise and suck in check.
Thanks for letting me know that there are others like that too.

Great stuff. I find that if I just decide to not follow the program only leads to more and more of these days. I HAVE to stay focused or I know I will slip into the abyss.

This is so true, we really struggle with the weekend and I think we will have to do the same thing. Thank you for the encouragement.

LOL. I like how you made week end the weak end. I understand what you are saying. I have had that same problem. If I weight myself on Monday it reflects my weak end. Thanks for the blog!

Ha ha ...... I used to be like this about the months of the year ! i would do so well all from January to late october or November. Then through all the holidays and till the New years I'd gain all or most of my year long efforts back! And then the vicious cycle would start all over again. ! Not this year ..... woo hoo..... I pushed through with only a 5 pound gain and its gone now !!
