I Am Still Here!

I am still here and I refuse to give up. I don't care what the scale says right now, I am NOT going to give up. I CAN turn this around!!!

Sometimes we have setbacks, issues, problems or we just turn off for a while. The way to know if you are a winner is if you get back up and get back in the game!

Maybe you are in the stadium watching the game from the nose bleed section. Maybe you are one of those people who are on the side lines keeping score/stats. You could be on the team but warming the bench. You could be out of the field running around but not getting anywhere. If you are in one of these "places", wishing that you were in the game making it happen for the "team", it is time to get into the game!!!

Get back into the GAME!!! Drink that water. I know it doesn't always appeal to everyone but your body needs it. Track your food. You need to know what you are putting in your mouth and how much you are putting in there. How will you know what changes need to be made if you aren't tracking? Yep as you can guess, I am talking to myself here!!!

EXERCISE!!! You have got to move. You can't just sit there and moan. You can got to get off your butt and MOVE!!!

Put the past in the past! So, you screwed up and fell off the wagon. Maybe you even gained the weight back or are seeing the weight coming back on. Don't wait any longer! Get up and get in the game!!

You have to make YOU a priority. Stop letting the negative thoughts and the past mistakes keep you down or hold you back. Didn't I just get through saying to put the past in the past? Were you not paying attention? Yep, I struggle with that one myself. You have to take care of you. You have to do the things that you know need to be done to get the job done. Stop moaning and groaning about how you want things to change. Get up and do something about it! Stop letting the negative thoughts tell you that you can't do it or that you won't make it. emoticon

Take one day at a time. Don't look to how long it is going to take to you get to goal. Set you goals, break them down and then tackle them!!

Yesterday was Valentines day, a day of love. Why not make the decision to love yourself enough to make the changes now to get healthy and lose the weight? If you have been in one of those places I talked about above, stop right now to change things for a better If you have been off the wagon or struggling, let's start today to make the right choices to get on track and get back into the game, on the front lines, and moving toward that goal line!!

Let's do this!!

    I just watched your Vlog. You seem so nice and sweet. I bet we would get along just fine, the two of us :) I love the positive note in your blog, the encouragement it gives me, that despite the physical and health issues you are dealing with, you are not willing to let them define who you are, and that you are posting this in such a selfless manner, to help US get through our own struggles. I will do my 30 minute exercise tape in your honor today, I will wear a little ribbon on my wrist for you for you during the exercise and I will keep you in my prayers throughout the day. And thanks for the reminder to drink my water. I need that. I am filling water jugs right now. I need to get about 100 oz. into my system.

    Glad to hear from you again and Happy Valentine's Day! Sorry you're not feeling well. That little talk you have with yourself is the same one I need to have with myself. I'm still maintaining my weight. I just have not gotten back on the program! Well, I haven't gained weight and I track my food, but eating less and exercising more would sure help! I really need to work on taking the negativity out of my life! Getting rid of negative thoughts and words is my big challenge.

I am in the same boat you are in. I, too, experience swelling & water retention.

I would like to share some info that may be helpful to you as it has been a great help to me. My boyfriend bought me a wonderful gift for my birthday. A Mini Trampoline. WOW... what a difference! And I don't go crazy on it. I just slowly move my ankles to move my whole body. It is fun, too!

We've mentioned NASA and rebounding before, but today I ran across an article that gave just a bit more info--and it was quite interesting! See what you think....

"In the 1970ís rebound exercise such as rocking and bouncing was studied by NASA scientists in regard to astronauts returning to earth from low-earth orbit.

After six months their autonomic nervous systems lost their capacity to stand in a gravitational field. The astronauts had to be dragged out of the space capsule horizontally because they would faint upon standing.

They were experiencing a disautonomic condition which is similar to what CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) patients experience.

    I heart you so much! I'm so happy to "see" you. emoticon I know you well enough to know that if you aren't posting that you have your reasons, but I ALWAYS know that the reason is NEVER that you gave up. With others I am not close to, I think "uh oh, so and so hasn't posting in 2 weeks, I wonder if she quit", but that thought never crosses my mind with you. Not to toot our own horns, but I like to think you and I are pretty resilient. We have had our share of setbacks, bumps along the road, etc etc. but I think the thing about us is if we get knocked down we get back up. It's proof in the pudding that we are still here and we are fighting for what we want. I heart you so much and I know we are going to keep trying, even if sometimes it just sucks LOL. emoticon
