Yesterday I had my 6 monthly check,up with Heart Specialist.
He was such a nice man and made me feel at ease immediately, I was rather nervous as I knew my heart beat was still abnormal .
I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through having a pacemaker inserted in my chest,.
My younger sister Linda is just recovering from this invasive procedure.
She actually died on the table and was brought back to life.
Very frightening for her,and also I would not like the thought of the same thing happening to me.
I need to be well for Colin ..
Doctor was impressed with my exercise routine and my eating plan, but not impressed with my weight gain.
I have been walking, using my recumberant bike and exercise bands, as well as other Strength exercises.
I do mostly 10,000 steps a day now and also usually get a average of 150 mins exercise.
I have been eating well and was mystified as to why I was finding it hard to lose weight .
The Doctor looked up all the details of the medication and saw that with some patients it would be quite possible to gain weight ..
I am now on a new drug Isoptin and hopefully soon, I will have a more regular heart beat and start losing weight again .
It is all experimentation, as drugs can have positives and negatives,we need to make sure we are having the safest drugs for ourselves.
I can't empathise enough, the need to talk to your medical providers if you feel something is not right ..
I also need to thank you all for your support and encouragement, it means a lot to me and my family, as they also know of the encouragement and love you are showing us.
Spark people are amazing ..
I have so much gratitude and admiration for so many of you and knowing that we are going along the same journey is so comforting.
Please know that I love you and appreciate you all so very much .
We can do this together .
We can learn to love ourselves.
By loving ourselves we can then care enough to look after ourselves.
By looking after ourselves we can also look after others, and so the circle is complete.
Take Care and remember we are all in this together ..
Together we can do anything .
Much love. Susie
