Today was busy busy.

I started off by turning off the gas to the kitchen. Disconnected the stove. Dragged it out to the porch. Ditto the dishwasher. And the fridge. Then the washing machine and the dryer went out the side door to the gate by the street.

Before I moved the fridge, I had to empty it. Frozen food went to the deep freezer in the cellar. Refrigerated food went outside in the below 40F weather. Then I had to repeat that action for the cellar fridge.

I was moving appliances all day long. And not just from room to room. Down steps. Up steps. Outside. Back inside.

And the installers finished the floor. I had to move three cast iron steam radiators so they could do that. More heavy lifting.

And I walked away from it all think how lucky I am. At my age, my father was too sick from heart disease to do what I was doing. I am almost 60 and I was lifting heavy loads, lowering them down the back steps on a hand truck. Many people my age can't do what I was doing.

Good health is a wonderful thing.

So while I am thanking God for the woman who put a foot on my butt to send me to Weight Watchers to lose weight and get healthy, I will also be prying for a goo dnight sleep.

I need it.
