Start early, finish late
Thursday, February 14, 2013
First thing this morning, I went to church to collect all the glasses
from communion to wash them and put everything away. Then off to
have coffee so I could get to the office by 8. I have one quiet hour
before people expect me to be there. I dug in and it still took me
an hour and a half to finish one set of quotes. Then the phone started
ringing and it was a whole new set of issues to deal with. And so
the day went. It was getting to the point where I was dreaming of
a day off. But I stuck it out and really ended the day well.
I went straight to the farm to milk the goat and forgot the camera-
again. It had gotten so cold and windy that I tossed over twice as
much hay as normal. I figured the goats would appreciate a little
something to take the bite out of the wind.
I made chicken fajita salad with a light dressing, added a cup
of grapes and a large mug of green tea for supper. The washer
is running and the dishes are done, the tax papers are spread
out over the table and I am almost through the check register.
Tomorrow night, I will sort the invoices for the final push to
get it all done. I am giving myself another week to finish.
DH and MIL should be home tomorrow. DS and his GF will be
here to watch the last boys home basketball game. I am
sure DS will be playing with the band. The other 2 boys
will be busy with their GFs too. I am hoping for a quiet night.
Guess I will wrap this up for today. I hope your Valentine's
Day was as special as could be. Thanks for stopping by. HUGS!
Before I forget, DH gave me yellow roses-my favorite!
