Crazy Valentines Day at work

Thursday, February 14, 2013

One of those days-Health inspectors came into for an inspection and I had to drop everything and stay with them until our General Manager came back from picking up some salads at the kitchen facility. Put a dent in my time frame for catching up on some admin stuff. Had to do the books today in stead of my normal admin shift, so felt under the gun all day. Also was on my feet way too long, legs were really feeling it.

Busy lunch rush with Valentines Day, then slowed down. Was off at 3pm and home and helped alittle with my husband plowing the driveway and my moms driveway. Got some good cardio at least. Did Macs for dinner (so good, and so bad). Stopped at music store to ask about an amp hubby is interested in. Got some gas- price up again $3.79, but at least Costco still at $3.55 a gallon.

Home and worked on some gun club stuff. Big orientation is this weekend. About as prepared as can be I think. Got Sat off for it. Should be working Sunday, will find out tomorrow. Looks like my Sunday work dilemma is resolved, just need to get back the hours I wasn't scheduled for this Sunday. Can't afford not to work Sundays at this point, that 8 hours of OT is very important to us.

Sounds like a very busy day. We have had good weather for maple syruping.... warm days and cold nights.

It was busy at our HyVee last night when we were in there, everybody buying flowers and candy. Glad they got the Sundays worked out for you.

You did have a hectic day. I'm not envying the snow cleanup. I remember shoveling out the end of the drive only to have the snow plow come by and fill it all in again with very heavy chunks. But alas....spring is just 5-6 weeks away! My niece says that is what keeps her hanging in there. This last storm she stayed in town with her mom so she didn't run the chance of going into a ditch because of drifts on their county road.

it has been warm out here during the days but the temps fall to the high 30's at night as there is no cloud cover. We've still not had rain in February at all and we really need it. Maybe a chance on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Enjoy your days off when you can!! emoticon
