So now I'm sitting in my comfy chair with my foot propped up and a bag of frozen green beans on it to try to bring down the swelling. (What? We were out of frozen peas.)
Long story short, having a tough day anyway and then dropped a heavy glass shelf on my foot.
Ever wonder what force per square inch a 3/4" thick glass shelf exerts on a foot when it is dropped lengthwise (so all of the weight is behind it, right?) from a height of a bit over two feet? Enough feel like your foot is about cut in half, and to make your toes and ankle tingle then ache like mad, that is how much.
Anyway, very frustrated. It is definitely a temporary setback, but folks, I don't even think I can fit this foot into my workout shoe. It is quite swollen and most of the top is blue. Oh, and don't forget the big angry purple-pink spot in the middle. Swollen - all the way from my ankle through my toes. But I worked out four times last week and was on track to hit four again this week, so, yeah, I'm kinda annoyed with this.
I will be out of town at a workshop next week, will be back late on Friday the 22nd. I guess I will just pick up with the exercise when I get back, I don't know any other way to handle this.
