Valentine's Day Blog

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Well, today is the day for couples. It is a fine holiday. I have been known to celebrate it in the past. I am pseudo-single right now. I technically have a boyfriend sort of. You know the one that broke up with me the day after I started this journey. But, then we got back together, but he still moved back to Portland, and I am here in California. More on THAT one maybe later. It is very complicated and more than I would like to talk about in this blog. It is difficult to talk about and involves some of my depression. But, enough about that. I am physically alone this Valentine's day. Well, unless you count the dog. But, it would be a little weird to count the dog, although she IS very cuddly. :) I am okay with this. I am working on me right now. I am focusing on my health be it spiritual, emotional and physical. I do not need roses and chocolates (boo chocolates) to make me happy. My friend is sending me some Britta water bottles that is pretty cool and better than chocolate! :)

Yesterday I went for a spa day and got my toes all pretty for myself. It felt wonderful to get a foot massage. I didn't realize how sore they are from running. That was nice that I treated myself.

Tomorrow my friends and I are going to Valentine's Day Weekend Karaoke. That will be tons of fun since I haven't seen them now since my birthday and I was 30 pounds heavier. Woot. So, at least there will be some fun happening for the weekend.

But, this is what happened to me today:

One of THOSE days. So, I wake up, make my cereal with blueberries and raspberries. Put away my blueberries. Somehow blueberries jump out of refrigerator and fall all over the floor. Dog wants to eat them. I don't know if dog CAN eat them (did you know dogs can't eat raisins?) I forget if they can eat blueberries and I don't want to chance it. Dog gets a firm "leave it" and gets to go in the other room.

Then I had taken off my key that I wear around my neck for my lock for the gym lockers. I needed to use the lockers today because I was doing aqua aerobics. I grab the key. I put it on the necklace I wear. I head out the door. I get to the locker. I throw all my stuff in including the towel, and are ready to head out. I forget I am still wearing my non water proof Fitbit. I put the key into the lock. Well, I *tried* to put my key in the lock. It is the WRONG..KEY? I have no idea how that happened. Grrrrr. So disturbing. So, they had to bolt cutter my lock off the locker. LOL

Happy Valentine's Day to me. :) Actually I got a new shiny RED lock. The kind that you make a word up and that way I don't have to worry about the KEY anymore. Thank god!

So, I hope you all have a very nice Valentine's day and treat yourself well, even if you don't have anyone to spoil you spoil yourself, like I did. :)
