Valentine's Day and I'm Beat!!

I worked out hard at the gym yesterday. I worked on my back and chest before my spinning class. I was only able to do 20 squats after all of that. I think I will try and do my squat challenge in the morning's or afternoon's. It's too difficult to add it to my workouts.

After the gym I hit the grocery store for some fresh Salmon and Quinoa. I also bought some beef ribs for my boyfriend as a treat. I already took out chicken to make for supper so that had to be cooked first. I just seasoned the salmon for tonight, and then I seasoned and browned the ribs before putting them in the crockpot on low to cook. As soon as that was done it was time to bake the red velvet muffins and frost them. By the time I finished all this...it was after 3am. emoticon

I put off making the red rice and quinoa for today. I was BEAT! Now today I'm paying the price. I have no appetite so my eating schedule is off kilter. I don't have the energy to hit the gym...and I still have 290 squats left to do from yesterday and today. I will get that done today!!!

I burned 1242 calories yesterday!! emoticon I'm very happy about that. I hope to do more tomorrow to make up for today.

    Hey missed wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day, but here it is. Happy Valentine's Day to ya!!! Up at 3a.m. cooking wow...you're good. I would have stopped at the store and brought cupcakes before doing that. Dinner sounds good. I brought ribs the other day to put in the crockpot, maybe I'll get it done this weekend. Never tried Quinoa may have to give that a try too. 290 squats, whoa ...I'm getting there...Still at it skipped yesterday but will make it up today. Well you have a great weekend and hang in there but get some rest. I took yesterday off completely so I'm back at it today.

    I know the feeling. Sometimes your body is giving you signals to take a break for a day to recuperate. You are doing an incredible job! Your dedication to exercise really motivates me.

    I'm getting hungry just reading your blog! emoticon The food sounds delicious!

Different programs work for different people. What works for me is to focus on upper body one workout and lower body the next - but everybody is different. Just find what works for you and stick with it.
