A heart-healthy meal for Valentine's Day!

I've eaten out a couple of times this week, and almost hurt myself the last time!
So, we are NOT eating out tonight! I'm fixing spaghetti with homemade sauce (made with lean ground beef) and whole-wheat noodles, cole slaw with light dressing, steamed asparagus, applesauce muffin (this will double as dessert), fresh fruit, and sparkling ice water!
None of these are finding their way onto my hips today:

    For the first time I did not eat the entire boxes of chocolates given to me...I gave them away!! And I do not feel deprived at all! What a major breakthrough for me!

    WE had a fairly simple meal at a small cafe here in our town. We had not planned to go out , but, saw the death notification in the paper of someone we wanted to honor, so, we did, for times sake, eat out Hope everyone had a love-filled day!

    Sounds like a great plan!

    My healthy choices? We celebrated Valentine's Day last night (I had to work tonight) by going out to eat, then to a comedy show. I FILLED my plate with fruits and veggies and had a huge salad. My main course was broiled fish. I was incredibly proud of myself!

    You did great, I'm afraid I can't say the same! We did go out for dinner and it wasn't too bad, (a stir fry place). I was able to have lots of veggies and lean meat but hubby and I halfed a dessert!!!!
