I went on my treadmill for about 40 minutes yesterday. I'm working up to doing 45-60 mins a day. I don't want to start off too fast since I haven't been very active for a few months. I'm trying to listen to my body. I also plan on doing kettlebell workouts 2-3x a week. I am a little worried about the kettlebell workouts though because sometimes they irritate my joints. Irritated joints at 27 doesn't seem quite right. When I get back on my insurance (the beginning of next month) I'll probably ask the doctor about it.
Eating wise I'm doing pretty good. Since the bagel debacle (see my post from two days ago) I have avoided grains completely. I may be overdoing it on the paleo "milkshakes." I'm worried that there is too much sugar in the bananas. Of course it's unrefined and all that, and I think eating fruits and veggies is much better than eating ice cream, but I still wonder if I should cut back on fruit because of all the sugar in it. A lot of fruits also have a lot of fiber and nutrients. Figuring out nutrition can be quite confusing sometimes!
I also have been reading that many people have had their asthma improve drastically while eating paleo. I'm pretty intrigued by this as I have asthma and it makes it almost impossible to do any jogging for more than a few minutes. If it helped that would be pretty amazing. We will see!
A friend is throwing me a bridal shower on Saturday and I'm a little nervous about all the goodies that she will have... I guess I can eat a small piece of cake...
Oh and I lost another pound or so in the past few of days!
