I've been considering paring down my possessions. When you're young, you're putting your house together, buying things you "need". When you get older you come to realize, the only thing you really need is good health. If you have that, you can really do without all the material possessions. After awhile, it seems like the possessions own you. They take up room in your house, you have to clean them or move them from cabinet to cabinet, trying to find room for all that you have. Not to mention the money you put out to buy the items. Starting today, I'm going to work on paring down things in my house. Less is more!!

I agree!! Enjoy the process! I eliminated some excess before the children were born and do a bit every year. I actually enjoyed knowing that some of the things were useful to other people in different stages of life and that they wouldn't have to pay full price for them.

I got rid of tons of stuff last year and there is not one thing I miss. My house is so much easier to keep clean. Enjoy the process. emoticon

emoticon We moved over the summer - what a way to realize how much you have that you don't need! Enjoy your decluttering and simplifying, and the peacefulness that will come with it!
