Sick of eating.....

Thursday, February 14, 2013

MEAT!! I have finally decided to stop eating meat that comes from land animals! I will still eat fish occasionally because no matter what fish is one thing that I cannot give up and besides it is pretty good for you depending on how it is fixed.

So, I have been thinking about going vegetarian or at least pescatarian for a while but last week was the last straw. First let me explain, for the past few months meat has been tasting worse and worse to me and then last week while I was eating a piece of chicken I kept thinking that it just tasted like bird!! That particular taste is why I never eat leftover chicken or any meat for that matter anyway but it was weird that I could taste it when I was just first cooked! Anyway after almost losing my dinner I just decided enough was enough and needed to take the first step toward pescatarianism!

I am very proud of my decision and looking forward to seeing how this goes! My husband also has the same feelings that I do so we are going to be doing this together. So now I am looking forward to a healthier lifestyle and the upside is that now I don't have to feel bad about the animals (I am an animal lover and always felt sorry for the poor things).

I am just so excited about my decision and I feel like it is the best thing for me. However, I do not and will not expect others to make the same decision because you have to do what is right for you!

I feel the same way! The more healthier I eat, and more active I am, the less I want meat (and the less I "crave" it). Sometimes it just makes me sick when I think about it. Isn't that odd? hehe

I am basically a pescatarian that eats eggs and drinks cow's milk. I don't eat any red meat or fowl, only fish - mainly tuna and salmon, and occasionally shrimp and crab.

I don't miss the red meat/fowl. I feel I am living healthier. And I think it has definitely helped my weight loss efforts.

Good luck on your journey!
