Fun & Fit Bootcamp: Day 3 Check-In

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Now that I've successfully been three times, it seems appropriate to begin to say that I "go to" bootcamp regularly. Up until now, it still felt like a trial run, but now I feel like a regular. I've learned the names of two of the other women and I'm feeling the results all over my body. So, here is the first of what should be many entries on the bootcamp training!

Yesterday, I felt like crap, total crap. I was ache-y and exhausted and generally mopey. I went to bed last night dreaming of justifications for not going this morning, even for calling out of work sick today! I txted my boyfriend, and that made me feel better emotionally, although my body still feel yucky. But I woke up at 5:30 AM (before my alarm) with no problems and no aches! I even felt alert! Those of you who know me know what a huge deal that is. HOORAY!

I even made it to bootcamp on time (which meant that I actually worked out for the whole 60 minutes)! We did a bunch of different stuff this time (instead of tons of burpees), so that kept my brain active which was nice. The first time, we just did the same routine for the whole hour and that was much harder.

I showered at the facilities this morning so I could make it to work on time and wow, those showers are LUXE! Showering right afterwards also helped loosen some of the kinks (as opposed to my usual strategy of passing out in a nap right afterwards).

All I really know is that I can begin to feel the good muscle aches all over my body. When I sneeze, I can feel my abs twinge. As I'm typing, I can feel my forearms and shoulders and everything else moving. It's a nice feeling, at least for now.
