This weekend should be interesting.
Tonight: Vday. Huh. I haven't had a Vday date since *counts* almost 6 years ago? Possibly ACTUALLY 6 years ago. Not that that really matters to me. It is -- like Xmas and birthdays -- an excuse to celebrate family and friends and buy gifts for people I love. I did warn the Boy that it really wasn't a big deal (actually, I said, "Valentine's day isn't a test you can fail!" and he responded with: "Is that a challenge?" *sigh*).
So tonight we be going to a restaurant he likes in Chelsea after my dance class (dinner around 9pm). Before that, I'll try to stop and collect groceries. He's collecting me at home, we're going to eat, and then we go back to my place first to collect my car for the morning and head his way :) He and some friends are heading to Maryland for a tournament in the morning.
Tomorrow I'll be sleeping in as long as I can, then meeting a friend for lunch and shopping. I haven't seen her for a while, but we should be seeing more of each other in the coming weeks :) Her new schedule has her off Mondays, so I'll try to visit her after my dance class :) Then on to karaoke and climbing (as usual).
Saturday will not likely be a happy day. My sis and I will be heading to Toronto for the day to visit with my grandmother who is not recovering well from the bout of flu that she caught in January. She's on oxygen (which is likely not making her happy, as when you're on oxygen, they frown on you smoking, and she LOVES her smokes). My aunt thought it would be a good idea to come visit, just in case she doesn't improve :(. And then -- me being smart -- I volunteered to drive there and back in a day. Not my most ridiculous day trip ever (only 10 hours of driving for a few hours of visiting, vs the day I went to Niagara Falls as a day trip), but certainly not going to be an energizing one.
Sunday I'll be recovering from Toronto, and likely go climbing just to get away from myself. I also realized that I have an entire series that Mercedes Lackey wrote that I have yet to read (the Obsidian Trilogy)... and I own the first 2 books... so probably going to read the rest of the day.
Monday is Family Day! Yay! One more day off! Monday I'm meeting another friend for visits to the dangerous place (Lulu) and then trying Ethiopian food (we'll request the mildest setting :P) and spending the night with a bottle of Blueberry Wine :).
During all this, I want to make some soup, buy some groceries, and maybe make some muffins. I haven't made muffins in a while, and they're just so darned convenient! *adding bananas and milk to grocery list*
Have a great long weekend, for those of you who do!
