The story of two walks in one day
Wednesday, February 13, 2013
Today, I went on TWO walks around my neighborhood. Originally, I was only planning to take only one. Then, my mother decided to want to go on a walk with me. Of course, I was ready and rearing to go with her. I made sure to have all of my safety items (ID, flashlight and cell phone), the flashlight came in handy due to some dark areas in my neighborhood.
So, now, I not only have one walking buddy, I have 2! I'm very excited about being able to have a friend that is willing to go with me in the mornings as well as my mom who is willing to go with me at night.
On my walk with my friend this morning, it was at a leisurely pace and we carried on a full conversation (bad, I know). It was a lot of fun and we were able to catch up, which is a good thing, in my eyes. I'm hoping she will be able to go with me tomorrow morning. After her and I got back, we talked more and I was able to get her to get on SP! I'm excited about that and I hope she does well!
On the walk with my mom, I told her about SP and everything I have learned from the articles I have read on here. She was amazed on how much I took in and put to use. During the walk, I heard a car coming down the road, so, I looked back. I must have scared my mom because she looked back, grabbed my arm and let out a gasp. We both laughed because what she had done. I also loved the walk with my mom because she made me pick up my step and had me walking at a brisk pace almost the entire walk. When we got home, I was able to sit down and my legs were pulsating, which, I take as a sign of a really good walk.
On another note, thank you everyone who commented on my blog yesterday. I am going to take the advice to heart and try to find a hobby as well as go to Spark America. I do have a small hobby, which is gaming. But, it makes me think about food more often because I'm in front of the computer.
