Day Two: How to Rationalize

Left the house very early this AM for prayer group and Bible study. Then it was on to visit an older friend (87), who is becoming forgetful, but loves to tell stories of her childhood and youth, early married life and the times back then. And I thoroughy enjoy listening because it's an era long gone, but missed. We do a little singing together as well. The last visit was with friends who just had a baby boy at 3AM today. Helping with house cleaning and laundry gave the Grammy time to home school the other children and for the parents to settle in. All in all a very special day of encouragement for me as well.
When I arrived home, we had our early supper and got about evening chores.
Then it hit me...I have not done my box/basket or bag today...ohoh
In my head: "Don't worry, what's one day, you can do two tomorroooooooo"
"NO!" You see, if I let that line of thinking get nourished, I will think a similar thing each day and the next, rationalizing away my whole project plan on the second day.
So when I finish writing I will do the sorting for this day. YES!

PS "galloping things" : It seems to me sometimes that stuff reproduces itself when we aren't looking and then moves around to new places creating more piles to deal with.

    I have trouble sometimes getting home and getting relaxed and then............it hits me.... I forgot something important
