Feeling like I am falling apart

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Well my bright shiny and new GI specialist has ordered a colonoscopy for next Tuesday. In the mean time they want to run some test to check for micro bacteria or something of the sort. Only problem is, my diarrhea problem isn't quite bad enough to run the tests. doesn't matter if I am going 6 times a day. If it's not water-applesauce then they can't test it. Couple weeks ago that would not have been a problem. Now I have what some in the IBD world call "constipated diarrhea." Possibly due to the inflammation I have.
Ran a low grade fever on Friday along with absolutely gut-wrenching pain. Thankfully came back down before a trip to the ER was needed.
Today my knees and back are killing me and my right hand's rash has a new friend on the left hand. I ate dinner tonight (nothing new or out of the ordinary) and 20 minutes later BAM! Bright red, burning rash on my left hand. Bad enough that I grabbed the Benadryl (which I never take).
I just want answers. Soon. The doctor kind of made me feel like my symptoms aren't quite bad enough. Was going on and on about post-infection irritable bowel (which doesn't cause high CRP..which I have), if my cat scratched me (doesn't cause bowel issues) or if I had been traveling.
Nope but I have one autoimmune disorder and there is a family history of colon cancer, colon polyps and diverticulitis. He seemed nice enough, just trying to explain away my symptoms before we even run the test. I didn't have the cat last time I flared (September). The cat isn't sick. My husband isn't sick.
I don't know.
I am grumpy and tired of being ill.
Rant over for now.

Thanks guys! No peptic ulcers, CBC is fine, SED rate is fine, CRP remains elevated. I don't have celiacs so the next step is ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, Crohn's or another Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

has anyone tested you for celiacs disease. A lot of your issues sound like they are coming from gluten
