I haven't written a blog entry in forever but I'm getting in the habit of it to keep myself accountable.
Since the Christmas holidays, I haven't been able to discipline my eating habits to what they were before. I was still consistent with my exercise 5-6 days/week but as far as eating goes...
Anyway, I haven't been incorporating much strength training in my workouts and now I'm paying for it. WARNING: DO NOT ONLY PERFORM CARDIO EXERCISES. Loose skin (with fat) will be sure to follow. Case in point: ME (not actual pic of me in the photo, lol)
I've been educating myself on how to prevent these folds by educating myself on what to do with exercising- particularly strength training - and eating right. It won't be easy (I hate strength training) but I know I have to be determined in following through so that I can reap the benefits when I finally hit my goal weight.
My short term goal is to finally be under 200lbs by May 2013. That month will be the one year anniversary since I was officially diagnosed with pre-diabetes. In terms of that, I'm proud to say that my levels are still going down--on it's way back to normal. I can't wait until I get an official report that says I'm finally not pre-diabetic again.
Anyway guys, I hope to be a part of the group that actually loses weight this year and I hope you will be too. Looking forward to graduating from the Obese School of Disappointment and Death.
