How learning to T.R.A.C.K. helps me be fit AND happy

Finally things seem to be coming together for me after joining SP people 10 months ago. I hope the same is true for you at some point. I'm a fan of daily tracking, reading blogs and articles, plus tips from a daily Spark Coach--all these are helping me become fit and feel good about what I'm doing. Today it occurred to me that it's all about tracking, and the letters T R A C K came to mind as a way to share with you. Here goes . . .

T = TRACK calories and exercise daily. Track weight as you feel led to do so, with healthy eating and lifestyle changes.

R = Be REALISTIC about goals and expectations. What works for one person may not work for you.I try to set a calorie and exercise goal each day, but to also remain flexible.

A = ACCEPT days when exercise is almost impossible, meals don't fit the daily plan, losing weight just isn't happening, and so on. Simply inching forward toward success is powerful.

C = COMMUNITY resources at SP are awesome. Thank you all for your great contributions. It inspires me just to know you are there, even though we may never come in direct contact.

K = Be KIND to yourself. Always. Always.
