My sister came across a great website with meal plans awhile ago that she told me about. I thought I had bookmarked it, but I can't find it now. It doesn't appear to be there anymore. Maybe it's moved, or it's just gone. It had meal plans with simple, every day foods that used leftovers from meals for other meals later in the week.
For example, you would might use bell pepper, onions and lettuce for salad one day, and use the rest of the veggies with some chicken and tortillas for fajitas the next day. Then you would use the extra chicken and tortillas for taquitos, and the extra lettuce for a side salad another day.
There were some different plans to choose from like a diabetic diet. You could choose plans for 12,15, or 1800 calories, and enter the number of people you are planning for, and it would generate a grocery list for you.
I've seen a lot of other web sites with meal plans that I wasn't very impressed with. They use foods and recipes for things that you wouldn't normally eat, or things that you can't get at your local big box grocery store, and they don't use leftovers for later meals, so what do you do with all of the extra food after you've made the meals.
I would love to find this website again. If anyone has found something like that I would appreciate any information you can share.
