Another year

Tomorrow is my 52nd birthday, and I must admit I'm sorry I wasted another year not being diligent enough on my food plan and exercise. Had I followed it, I would have been at least 75 pounds lighter. However, I am not going to dwell on the negative but rather focus on the positive, the 16 pounds I have lost since Jan 6. It's a slow process but the only alternative is to continue to feel lousy and die too young!

I have promised myself I will splurge a bit for my birthday dinner but not go crazy, so I will still enter my foods so I know how I did. It is a good way for me to be accountable to myself.

I'm glad you're not going to let your past, pull down your present and future.

I can relate because I've been struggling for well over a year now. So how about if we pull ourselves up by the boot straps and keep on keeping on!!

BTW, Debi gave some really great advice!!

    Think of other ways to splurge and indulge yourself besides with food. Treat yourself to something special that maybe you have been longing for, a massage, a mani/pedi, a good book, a mvie you've been wanting to see, along drive or day trip. There are plenty of ways to shower ourselves for our birthday and any other occassion. We just need to reward ourselves more often.

May your special day be full of fun and surprises that will make some memories. Happy Birthday Spark Friend !!!!
