Cornbread Fail!

Note to self....next time, check the nutrition facts of the cornbread BEFORE going to the cafeteria and selecting it! :) Not going to beat myself up over it, but that piece of cornbread had more calories than the rest of my lunch combined, and a HUGE serving of carbs. I may as well have had a piece of chocolate cake for that. Just something to remember for next time. Is it worth it? NO! This is what all this tracking is good for, to really look at what you're eating and educate yourself about nutrients, etc.
Just say NO to cafeteria cornbread! It's not worth it :)

    I've definitely learned my lesson! :) Good thing the rest of my lunch was quite healthy and low cal. I can hopefully still stay within my calorie range for today. Pshew! LOL I've never been a good tracker but I've really tried hard this past month and it's really been an eye opener.

  How many times I've looked at something and thought that it was low in calories....was I ever wrong!

    I know where you are coming from. You look at something that small and think there is no way it can do that much damage. I remember at the beginning of my journey being given a Panera Bread holiday cookie - the littel sugar cookies with frosting design on them. I thought it would have about 200 or 250 calories. I ate it and then went to track it and that thing had 460 calories! I was so angry! I learned to always know what I am putting in my mouth BEFORE hand.
