Last week I wrote about how I've been really convicted about getting a workout buddy and how I don't have anyone in my life who's also working towards the same goals as me.
Well while I don't have anyone actively trying to lose weight, I do have friends that are interested in working out! I made a date to do a workout video with one friend this week. What's funny is that as I mentioned it in front of other friends they were also interested and it turned into a group of four yesterday doing Billy's Bootcamp TaiBo (sp?). Oh man it was good to have a break in my normal routine of doing Jillian's 30 day shred. I got some new muscles sore today.
I had another friend ask me to do a 5K with her at the end of the month. I sort of challenged her to also commit to running with me once a week up til the 5K. We will go running this afternoon. So really it wasn't that hard to find people interested in getting active with me. I will say that it's pain schedule wise to try to get everyone together. It also means excercising later in the day rather than the beginning which always makes me nervous that something will happen and it'll get cancelled.
For now though I am enjoying my friend fitness plans.
Also I did step on the scale today to checkout where I was balancing out after my two pound weight gain this weekend. I'm back down to 160 so I must have been bloated or something. I really try to avoid stepping on the scale more than once a week, but I'm glad I did just for a little piece of mind. I was feeling really down about all my hard work for a month and a half only translating to 2 pounds. I'm happy to know it's really five. AND I have a TON more muscle.
