Aches, pains, and bumps, oh my.

I never got around to a blog entry yesterday, but the first thing I want to share with everyone is the wonderful words that were left on my page by 1HAPPYSPIRIT:

"These are just a few of the ONEderful things I am wishing for you....

I Wish for you, SUNSHINE, to Remind you of the beautiful light you carry inside...
I Wish for you, STRENGTH, to get You through the times that may feel ooooooo soooooo rough.....
I Wish for you, COURAGE, to help You when you may feel the fear, that you can not do this yourself....
I Wish for you, SERENITY, to bring you inner Peace, when things can seem so chaotic around you....
I Wish for YOU, SUCCESS on this Journey to SELF REDISCOVERY.... YOU CAN DO IT....

because My SPARKling PAL... You are NOT ALONE.... you are in the company of others who truly care.... WE CAN DO IT.... Together..... " - 1HAPPYSPIRIT

I just love this and think it is worth sharing! :)

I would like to know if anybody out there has experienced what I currently am... As I am recovering from this flu/cold thing that I've had for the past week and a half, my body HURTS. My hips hurt, my knees hurt, my muscles are achy. I don't think it is a direct effect of being sick, because I am on the upward swing now. I honestly feel like I am 30 years older than I am. And my skin looks horrible. Breaking out and blemished - which rarely happens to me.

The only thing I can really think is my food - but I wasn't doing perfect with my food before getting sick, and I have not let it slide THAT bad. Maybe it's from not working out? It's been almost 2 weeks, but should my body be fighting me this bad so quickly?

I just want to know what's going on. I slept on the couch last night because I just couldn't get comfortable in bed - not that the couch was any better, but at least I wasn't waking the hubby up with my tossing and turning. Has anybody experienced something similar?

Otherwise... I am feeling better, but still not 100% healthy. I do plan on getting out for a long run come Saturday and return to the gym come Monday. Hopefully that is how it all actually works out!! :)

I hope everyone is having a great week - we are 1/2 way to the weekend!!

I'm so sorry you still aren't feeling like yourself. Take it easy...your body will readjust when it's ready. Treat yourself well until then :)

Thanks for sharing that post - how wonderful! As for the body soreness issues, I also think it could have been related to your flu/cold. My husband was sick for the entire month of January and felt the same for a bit even after he started to recover. Same for some of the folks at work. Make sure you give yourself enough time to fully recover before jumping back in the saddle. Let your body get the rest and food it needs and you'll be back to your normal self in no time!

That happened to me when I got sick last month. Your body just has to finish the recovery process.

I don't know if it is the same thing or not, but I had a bad cold/flu in November and December. It kept relapsing and it really took my strength away. I did ache (including a tooth...figure that one out) and there were days that I didn't really feel bad, but I felt so tired that I could barely move. I also went through a period where I felt like a couldn't breath even though the congestion had gotten better. I got sick right before Thanksgiving and it was about Christmas before I really felt back to normal. Hope this helps! And hope you feel better very soon!!
