Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, February 13, 2013

If we were to keep up with our time all day long and write down what we do, we would find we have a lot of wasted time. Some of us spend too much time watching television, playing games or staying on the Internet. Others spend too much time talking about things that shouldn’t be said. God keeps track of our time. He knows all we do and all we say. We are going to answer to Him one day and be accountable for all we have done. It may be time for us to track our time and be sure we are doing what is pleasing to Him rather than wasting the time He has given us.

Proverbs 24:12 “Don’t excuse yourself by saying, ‘Look, we didn’t know.’ For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.”

Dear Lord, we know You love us. We know You care for us. We know You want what is best for us. Help us today to be more aware of how we spend our time. Help us to think about what it is You want us to do and write down what is important for us to do today and do it. Help us to track our time so we are more aware of what we are doing and we can intentionally live on track for You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

If we really understood the fact that God knows all we do, a lot of us would be living differently.

We should live as if God is right beside us watching all we do, because He is.

God wants us to live right and gives us instruction on how to live…and gives us the free will to do it.

God doesn’t make us spend time with Him and be obedient to Him but He is watching and we will be accountable to Him one day for all we do.

Hebrews 4:13 “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.” (NLT)
