Since I was not raised Christian and only learned the rules for fasting/abstaining during Lent last year, this will be my first year intentionally participating. Therefore, my main goal for the season is to intentionally fast and abstain for meat when necessary.
My "giving up" goal is to eat healthier and smaller portions. Hopefully I will lose 4 pounds, but weight loss is not going to be the focus. Eating smarter is going to be.
My spiritual goal is it read some of the Bible every day. I found a site ( www.ewordtoday.com/year/
) that gives Bible passages to read every day to read the Bible in a year. That is my ultimate goal - to make it through the whole Bible.
