I never thought I'd ever hear the words "your legs are looking skinny"! All my life I've had chunky legs for my size. Especially the knees and ankles.. the flabby inside of the knees.. it's still there, but just smaller pockets of flab.. well the ankles..just bigger boned.
I've always admired people who have nice thin shapely legs and have over the years have walked thousands of miles, tried running, both on the road and treadmill, a nordictrak ski machine.. again 10,000 plus miles I swear.. and now cycling and it's the cycling plus finally getting my diet right that seems to be doing the trick!
When I look down at my legs, I still see the chunkiness, but it's firmer and I'm happy with that!
I'd like to say thanks to all my Sparkfriends for all the encouragement to keep going and exercising. Maybe by summer, I'll be able to wear my shorts and not feel self conscious anymore.
I'm now at 109, which is 3lbs under my original goal, but I'm kind of letting my body decide where maintenance wants to be and that seems to be 109.5 to 110.
Yes, I'm very happy!!
