A New Day- Gettin' ma bike on

I was so psyched last night when I got home to see that my new stationary bike arrived! emoticon Ok, so I was less than thrilled (read, emoticon emoticon ) when I got home and saw that the city plows had been back and you guessed it, the driveway was blocked again! I dug myself into my driveway and seeing the bike really gave me a much needed lift. I was miffed that after I assembled it, I was too tired from digging out the hardened snow to use it. I did hop on and take it for a test ride though. emoticon

Of course, I got up this morning and yes, the plows left another present. I'm beginning to think this is their version of the kindergarten routine where the boy picks on the girl he really likes. At this point, I'm convinced the City loves me to pieces. emoticon.

In other news, I'm feeling quite frumpy today but that's a good thing. My pants are very loose, not falling off loose but the waist and legs are clearly too big. I last wore these in December and they were snug.

Yesterday, I didn't do so well on the nutrition front. I was under my calories range for the day if I include the workout calories but I was way over on sugar. We hold an office-wide charity fundraiser each year on fat Tuesday. It's a huge potluck put on by the support staff, everyone else are patrons and the proceeds are donated to charity. For $5 you get a soup or salad, an entrée, a dessert and a soda. I took a half cup of Texas chili and a square of cornbread as my soup, the salad was caesar and had way too much dressing on it and a ton of cheese so I skipped that. For my entrée I had 2 oz of spicy pulled pork on a whole wheat roll and here's where I fell down, I had chocolate cake for dessert. I only took 1/2 of a slice and gave the other half to someone else but it was still a lot of sugar. I skipped the soda and had water.

Workout- Did great yesterday with Jillian and the surprise strength training exercise that moving an ice-block of compacted snow affords. This morning was a different story. My abs, shoulder, arms, thighs, glutes and hamstrings are screaming emoticon so I could only jog in place for 30 minutes this morning because I was determined to do something. emoticon
