Well, I'm finally on the upswing. I had strep a few weeks ago, finally started feeling better for about a week, and then got hit with a sinus infection that totally knocked me out. I couldn't breathe at all, I had a low grade fever on Monday of last week, and by Tuesday my eyes were all watery and yucky. I stayed home on Tuesday and took the week off of exercising. I'm feeling better, but still a little congested. That might end up as normal pregnancy congestion, though.
Because of all of that I haven't been sleeping well. Getting up every hour or two, unable to fall back to sleep. I was averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night for a while there. Definitely not easy for a pregnant middle school teacher. I went back to the gym yesterday and the last two nights I've been sleeping better. I only woke up twice last night! I went to spinning this morning. We got new bikes with the computers on them and a screen, so today we were biking through Europe. Austria, Germany, Italy, France...it was awesome. It's amazing how having something like that might might be seen as a distraction actually helps you focus. The computers on the bikes have a spot for a USB drive so you can track your progress. I will have to see what happens when I put it in my computer now - how it reads.
Otherwise things are going well. Baby's doing well, we had our ultrasound so it's confirmed a girl (to be named Ivy). She's breech so she's loving using my bladder as a trampoline. When I use the restroom, she continues to kick so it feels like I have to go more when I can't. That's always fun. The coughing fits have subsided from the illnesses, though. Coughing while pregnant sucks cause you pee every time you cough. I'm thankful that's done. Still holding my weight steady, but that was a lot harder when I wasn't exercising. Definitely feels good to be back at the gym.
