My Biggest Obstacle To Exercise

To be honest, Procrastination! I have to do this first and that first, and this, this, this! There always seems to be something more important.
Finally realizing that I do this to myself, I'm trying to remember to put myself first. That can be a difficult task after raising 4 children and I'm sure a lot of people can relate. Many times I have an appointment or have to go someplace at a certain time so I put off exercising until I return. By that time it's too late or I'm too tired or just not interested anymore. I've been trying to work in at least 10-15 minutes in that case.. I feel that gives me a little more incentive to finish the workout when I get home.
I'd like to thank the people of sparkpeople for their dedication to helping people achieve their goals, tips and support. I feel like they offer a personal trainer to assist me everyday.

I wish everyone the best in all their endeavors today.

    Thanks NCSUE0514, I do feel it would be much easier to get it done first thing in the morning. I get side tracked so easily. Usually getting up earlier for me is not that easy but I'm working on it. I have sleep apnea pretty bad and even sleeping with a machine, my sleep is interrupted 15-20 times a night. It can only get better with all I'm doing. Thanks again. emoticon

    I know what you mean. My solution - I get up a bit earlier & exercise first thing in the morning.... and believe it or not, the pay-off is that I feel more energetic & get more done throughout the rest of the day when I do so. You may want to give it a try!
