I had some coco sauce left over and wanted to test rice again. Last time I had rice I lost but that was in phase 1 and I wanted to make sure my body is really ok with rice. Rice has always been a food that got the blame for any weight gain. Now is the time to find out if that is really so.
The veggies are mixed with brown rice cooked in a little olive oil and tumeric, turning it yellow. Topped with my favorite spicy coco sauce and a small salad on the side- it was delicious
By mid afternoon I felt like I was bloating up and started to get really cold to the point where I had to curl up in front of the fire with a blanket. I had some soup for dinner and in the end it took a small glass of cognac to warm me up.
Now it would be easy to blame the rice but it is also that time of the month and it could be hormonal as well. The real test was my weight the next morning... it was exactly the same, no loss, no gain. So this test was inconclusive :( Try again next week or so.
When something like this happens the best thing to do is eat "neutral" foods from early in the menu to offset any inflammation and to get back on track.
