In the past I have not taken Lent seriously. I made commitments to myself but never pubilicized them so that if I failed no one would know. This year I am taking it more seriously. And I am putting it out their so that I will be held accountable. (Hint, hint all my friends!!!) However, I do want to be realistic so my goals are reasonable for me and will lead me to a healthier lifestyle.

So this year I am giving up:
1. Sodas...I am allowing myself 1 per day and that is it.
2. Sleeping in. I am getting up during the week before my husband leaves for work. On Saturday I will get up before 8am. Sunday's I already get up early to get ready for church. (This little bit of extra time will give me time for my morning devotions.)

I am committing to:
1. Walk at least 10 minutes per day.
2. Eat at least 1 fruit per day.

I just want to say that I made these decisions over the last couple of days and wouldn't you know is raining today. I will have to find someway and somewhere to walk those 10 minutes.

Please help hold me accountable!!!

    There are always Leslie Sansone's walking dvds and check out YouTube for short bouts of exercise. emoticon
