Gonna Blame it on Mardi Gras

Yesterday's food travesty brought to you by the letters m-a-r-d-i g-r-a-s and the numbers way to freakin' much!!!
I had a bagel with pb, half a scone (from "off the list"), seafood pasta for lunch, and (this one wasn't exactly my fault), got invited to a friend's birthday dinner at the last minute - at Olive Garden . . .where I had spicy shrimp pasta. And a tiny (literally, fit on a tablespoon tiny) piece of cake. What the heck? Oh yeah, and a couple of beer. EDIT - and forgot about the small DQ Blizzard I had that was going to be last treat until April instead of dinner. ::::::::::::::::hangs head:::::::::::::::::::
So none of that really had anything to do with Mardi Gras. It's just sort of how the day turned out. But I let it - partly because I got on his roller coaster ride last year around this time and figured it would be as good a time as any to get extra serious again. So I let the "last day before lockdown" get a lot out of hand. Looking at the day, that is NOT how I would have chosen to spend my last hurrah if I had thought it out ahead of time. My very worst "on purpose" choices probably wouldn't have had nearly as many calories. I'm just grateful that I didn't choose any of the pastas with cream sauces. :-/
Since January 29, until yesterday, I've been completely off fried and sweet foods and have been taking it easier (than normal) on carbs. Starting today - continuing no fried or sweet, even easier on carbs, and no beer.
My knee is almost all better. Took a long walk yesterday with no trouble. I'm going to try to start running again this weekend. Will see if I can ease back in or if I need longer to rest.
