Time for me to address the elephant in the room. My emotional eating habits! I just didnt know how bad it was until I started my journey, I just didnt know how bad it was until I started eating better, I just didnt know how bad it was until I started walking 6-7 days a week! I'm ok WEIGHT WISE because I keep vegetables, fruits and low calorie snacks in my home and at the office, but the emotional eating is sooo obvious to me today. What if I did keep donuts, chips, cookies and cake in home today. I would be back where I started almost two years ago. Is emotional eating one of my last hurdles or still one of many I have yet to realize? I have not conquered this mountain yet(this I know for sure). I HAVE JUST CHANGED MY SURROUNDINGS AND RELY ON MY STRENGTH MOST DAYS. I wont go into detail but I have had my moments when I couldnt hold out(like yesterday).

its the hardest part. i also think that over time our physical bodies adapt to stress in ways that exacerbate emotional eating. being aware is a huge step, and compensating by the foods you keep around you is an excellent strategy. sometimes, tho, events are stronger and when that happens you just forgive yourself, learn what you can and get back on the "healthy horse". life wouldn't be very interesting if we were perfect ALL the time :-)

I think the emotional is sometimes one of the last hurdles we deal with. Why? Because getting sweaty and changing our fridge and cupboards are easy when compared to dealing with some emotional issues. Good luck bringing them to the light.
