Warning signal!! Valentine's Day candy and a work celebration for earning our 3 year certification. Stumbling blocks ahead!! It means exposure to candy and pizza and wings and soda. Which equals weight gain or stabilization, greasy food that makes me nauseous, and mindLESS munching. These celebrations work AGAINST my goals. Just like this past weekend's birthday and Valentine's Day celebration at home.
I'm getting tired of pre-planning, measuring, and mixing. For someone who has lost 14 out of 100+ lbs, this is NOT a good thing. I need a battle plan for getting through these "moments." (Thinking of it as a moment is less stressful for me).
My Battle Plan:
1. Encourage boss, who is on WW, to order salad and wraps instead of pizza and wings.
2. Bring in a bottle of my favorite Simply Lemonade (natural sugar, lemon juice, water) as a treat.
3. Whip cream and fresh berries for dessert
Next celebration: Valentine's Day couple's group at church, everyone brings a dish or two.
I'm not sure how to handle this because I want to feel like I'm a part of the group, which means eating with them. Yet I don't trust myself to eat a meal's worth of calories and vitamins at the potluck without overindulging in cals/fat/sodium.
Open to suggestions!
