Day 458: The Morning Quickie

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Well, everything's happened at once this year, hasn't it? Chinese New Year... Mardi Gras... Valentine's Day... Presidents' Day.

That last doesn't fly at our house. To my mind, Lincoln and Washington each get their own days. As do mothers, fathers, Martin Luther King, veterans, Columbus, Elvis - oh, wait. Not him, really. Before my time. Haha.

People were here yesterday for a viewing of the house. It was gratifying that they spent the better part of an hour - thereby raising hopes I try not to raise - and they got back to the agent much quicker than so many do - with a polite "No thanks, not for us."

Off to go and do - something. I need to move around more. I'm starting to go into that semi-hibernation state of "sedentary lifestyle." If so darned many engaging pastimes didn't involve sitting (reading, computer, knitting, sewing, etc. etc. etc.) I probably wouldn't try to prove the law of physics that states "A Body At Rest Tends To Stay At Rest."

Have a good'un, Sparklers - carpe diem!

In a month or so spring is here and people will go house-hunting.... hang in there!

You need only ONE buyer and I hope they turn up soon. I empathise with the pleasant lethargy syndrome.

Sorry it was a no-go on the house. But ONE of these days the right people will come through. I just know it!

Now go quickly walk some of that stress off... sedentary is fine, but we have to mix it up a bit, right? Spark right! emoticon

Sorry they weren't the right folks for the house. I can understand on being sedentary. I spend most of my time sittin. I even cook while sitting.
Hopefully the house will sell soon.

Sorry they weren't the right folks for the house. I can understand on being sedentary... I'm forcing myself to get up for 10 minutes each hour... cuz the laundry needs moving to the dryer or to folding...

Well, at least I use the loo at the other end of the house from my office area, so I get quite a bit of walking in when I'm drinking my water properly!

Sometimes I try standing up when I Spark - I suppose I'm kidding myself that it makes a difference...
Sorry about the house. Has the agent given you any feedback on what buyers find lacking? I know sometimes it is something that can't be addressed - like they want 4 bedrooms and you only have 2 sorts of things - but other times, it is a matter of staging or little investment.

I'm afraid I love many of those sedentary activities as well! Luckily, I also love the moving ones - hiking, canoeing, biking. Now if my body would just cooperate I'd have the best of both worlds!

Have a great day!

It's easy to get in that semi-hibernation mode and that's when I leave the house for a change of scenery. I'm so ready for spring weather and being outdoors. emoticon

LOL, but there are fun activities involving moving---exploring, sightseeing, and just enjoying the scenery as you walk.
