So when I was 19, I had my gallbladder removed. One thing almost everyone told me was that my bathroom habits would change a LOT. I was skeptical, but they were right. I would eat and within an hour at the VERY most, I would need to use the bathroom. I adjusted to this and just assumed this was the new normal.
Fast forward 21 years. I am now eating healthier - more fruits and veggies, more fiber and whole grains, less fat, less junk. Know what? My bathroom habits changed AGAIN.
I seriously NEVER made the connection between my poor food choices and the effect it was having on my digestive system. Based on what people had told me, I just assumed my lack of a gallbladder was responsible and left it at that. Turns out it wasn't so much that, as it was the continuous intake of junk.
