The Shred Diet Week 1: Day 2 (Tuesday)

Today was a rough start. I had to change up the plan a little to accommodate my late start. I work 2nd shift, but wanted to start waking up at 9AM everyday to fit in a workout and run a few errands. I could not gather myself enough to do what I needed to do. My alarm went off at 9am, but I laid there until 9:15am. When I got up to turn my alarm off I had a terrible headache and laid back down. I fell asleep and woke up just 10 minutes before my class was to start (I am also in school part-time). I hopped out of the bed trying to gather myself quickly to run out the door. There was not enough time for me to make my first meal, so I ate Snack # 1 which was 7 saltine crackers. Took my meds & checked gluclose levels then ran out the door. There was a short break between my classes so i ran home to make meal #1 and was finally able to get on track. It is still very difficult for me to consume 4 meals & 3 snacks a day. So far so good still, this book may just work for me. I also made the Sturdy Black Bean Soup and it was delicious! To make a little creamy, I pureed half of it. Just wanted to write something today. I checked my weight also, despite Dr. Ian warning to not do so and I am down 2lbs. I am looking forward to my scale on Monday 2/18, even if that is all that I have lost that is progress and that makes it all worth it.

    Keep going you can do it. Try eating snacks in the time frame even though you are not hungry. Try the celery when you are too full....You can do it. You have the power in you to change and become better emoticon
