Lots of UPS and DOWNS

Yesterday was one heck of a crazy day. I stayed up WAY too late Monday night and had to be up WAY too early yesterday leaving me with only about 4.5 hours of sleep! POOR DECISIONS. This lack of sleep was then accompanied by lack of my daily cup of coffee because I slept too late to brew it in time and throw on clothes before leaving the house. That is just the beginning. The rest of the day followed like this: an hour long trip to DMV to get the paperwork to pick up our car (we just moved to Guam and everything is a hassle!), then to the other end of the island to get the vehicle, to the car service place to get a safety inspection, to the NEX to pick up a few things we needed, then another 1.5 hour trip to the DMV to get my licence because mil spouses have to switch over here which sucks because we just got me a license a year ago and it doesn't expire for 3 more years! FInally at about 2pm we got to eat some lunch and run home for a few minutes when my husband decided it was a good time to go explore the island that we have seen very little of. I think we spent 13 hours out and about yesterday and ate out both lunch and dinner.

Needless to say I was EXHAUSTED! I feel like I make pretty decent food choices though which is an up. :) It's not overly difficult to do here in Guam. I ate a vegetable stir fry for lunch but had it cooked with no oil and paired it with about 1/4ish cup of rice, I did however splurge on a small pepsi because I was having caffeine withdrawal. Dinner was a little more difficult because we went to a ramen place so I ate a japanese style ramen soup, butI did the best I could under the circumstances. I even turned down cold stone and a frozen yoghurt place after lunch.

Regarding downs: Let me start with I absolutely adore my husband, but he makes being healthy so difficult. He could take a lesson himself but he lacks the motivation. Sure he has to pass a PT test for his job every year, but he used to strive for more and is constantly complaining about his appearance. He has always been a big guy, but never really overweight. He gets angry when he complains and I respond "then do something about it". If you don't like where you are, figure out where you want to go and do something about it.

Another down: I'm really not feeling well today. I think I am getting sick and I'm just really exhausted. So Today will be a minimal activity day. I am going to do my daily house work, and try to finish unpacking/organizing/arranging our bedroom which is the only room that's been neglected, and get my usual activities done and rest. And make sure I eat enough since I've been struggling with that!! I'm also probably going to rearrange my workout days for the week and give myself today off and work on one of my other days off. But that will be determined by if I start feeling any better.
