Weary - tuckered out

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Long day - my student who had surgery was in recovery and there were no complications when I called at the end of the day. A co-worker (another special ed teacher) was rushed to the hospital and is having emergency surgery tonight - acute appendicitis. Please keep both in your prayers.

I had a long day - the class was filled with more sickies and everyone was dragging - two of the kids slept all day long. But, they are not sick enough to keep home. We are all worn out with the snotty noses and the coughing and hacking and just wish these kids would have been kept home before they shared ALL of their germs with everyone else. At least the tech person was there today and he got my computer and smartboard up and running today so the kids could use it.

The pancake supper was a roaring success. There were more than 3 times as many people as last year. I did well - only had 2 pancakes, 4 sausage links, and a cup of fruit cocktail. I had a little syrup on one of the pancakes and ate the other while I was cooking so I didn't put anything on it. When I got home, Ed shared the box of Thin Mints - GS cookies that he was given - I ate ONE serving and gave back my other 3 because I don't want to be tempted by them. I got bananas instead. LOL Stayed in my range and was kept busy.

'nuff said for now. I am heading to bed and going to get a good night sleep.

  They are in my prayers.
If the kids slept in the class all day you would think they would be sick enough to send home. The poor dears. I hope all of them are feeling better soon.
