Our Valentine's Day Traditions

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

emoticon .....::::Our Valentine's Day Traditions::::..... emoticon

My children and I are preparing for Valentine's Day...with creative ideas... cards, crafts, table decor for the Valentine Breakfast. the way, I'm in love with textiles...esp felt! emoticon

It's a tradition in our family to celebrate the holiday of "Love" as a family ( not just for "sweethearts") emoticon
I decorate our dining table in an esp elegant way, crocheted tablecloth, name cards, small sweet treats for throughout the day ( no scarfing allowed in my house....LOL! ), tiny "love" gifts for each person according to his/her personality....and a breakfast that even the Irish would envy! LOL!! emoticon emoticon

Also, grandparents have already sent cards in the snail mail that I have reserved to set at the table as well....and then we have our own mailboxes at our desks that each child might have the opportunity to give each other special treats.... emoticon

Here is a link I found that resembles how we make Valentine crafts to send to our loved ones as well as decorate our own home. These are called Valentine Stained Glass Creations. Here are just a few pics of different ways to be creative with these hearts:::...

emoticon...:::Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day, SP Friends!:::... emoticon don't those lovely berries just make your mouth water? emoticon

What a nice tradition! I love your crafts, and I will definitely have to pick up on some of them. I'm crafty too, but I can never think of things to do for Valentine's Day. And those strawberries look delicious!

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family! emoticon

emoticon to see family traditions shared forward Laura! Very similar to how we celebrate the day. BD (before dogs) I would also leave a trail of Hershey's kisses down the stairs where the kids would get their Valentine's goodie bag with treats and their lunches have loves notes inside. Even the dogs get special Valentine's these days!

Thank you for sharing your family love. And those felt hearts are lovely. Have you seen the velvet ones? Mmmmmm......
