Weigh in today and I lost 1 lb. To you it may not seem like much but after carrying a 4 lb weight gain since the holidays, I am encouraged. My insurance company has a healthy program and filling out the questionnaires makes me think about new goals in exercise.
We got to visit another church in our area and hear another missionary and I didn't have to make or take food. This church was built in 1919 on the Akron plan in the round. The sound was good and the missionary was interesting. He brought up asking people we meet if they need any kind of prayer. I am a people person and can find out someone's life story in a heart beat but I never ask them if they need any kind of prayer and that is a relatively easy thing to do. So I'll try.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:13-16
God bless us with many opportunities to pray for each other.
